I invite you to a hoop drum workshop with Zohar Fresco. Open level.

The workshop program is focused on improving lapstyle and upright playing skills. I invite you to spend 3 days in one space with a teacher, focusing on Tof Miriam - as the Zohar calls the frame drum. The workshop will take place in my drum studio, which is located on the Pilica River, surrounded by meadows and forest, where you will be able to rest and regenerate :)

Zohar Izhak Fresco is known as the pioneer of the Tof Miriam, an ancient frame drum that originated in the Middle East over three thousand years ago.

Born in Israel into a family with deep roots in Turkey, as a descendant of Tamburi Yitzhak Fresco, an outstanding, well-known Turkish Jewish composer who lived in the 18th-19th centuries, Zohar was interested in music from an early age and became highly influenced by the music of his origins.

Zohar understood the great value and wide musical scope that exists in Tof Miriam and devoted his life to the development of a new fingering technique and a unique musical language called MANEGINA. In this way, Fresco created his own style of playing and became a mentor to musicians from all over the world who followed him, learned the secrets of his musical method and adapted his frame drum style in their musical work.

12.00 - 3.30 p.m.  - noon session

3.30 - 5.00 p.m. - lunch break

5.00 - 7.00 p.m. - afternoon session

Tuesday

10.00 - 1.30 p.m. - morning session 

1:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. - lunch break

5:00 p.m. - 7.00 p.m. - afternoon session

Wednesday

10.00 a.m. - 1.30 p.m. - morning session 

1:30 - 3.00 p.m. - lunch break

ACCESS:

Silpia Duża 9, 29-100 Włoszczowa 

If you are traveling by train: Włoszczowa Pólnoc or Włoszczowa stations - write in advance and we will pick you up from the station

If you are flying from abroad: Kraków Airport or Chopin Airport Warsaw, then take a train to Włoszczowa Północ. We will pick you up from the Włoszczowa Północ station and bring you to Silpia Duża.  Distance from the airport to the workshop location is approximately 2-3 hours in total. Vegetarian meals, including vegan and gluten-free diets, prepared mostly from organic products.
